Investment Management is hiring an Associate Manager for a technical role in our Funds Inforce Management team. The role reports to the Manager, Funds Inforce Management, Investment Management, Individual Wealth.
This role provides an opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge of and experience with segregated funds, and some exposure to mutual funds products. This is an exciting role as it will give you an opportunity to be involved in a variety of Investment Management projects that impact our products, advisors, and clients, either in a supporting or leading role.
What you will do
- Technical analysis related to our inforce segregated fund policies
- Reviewing and performing policy calculations, segregated fund fee related investigations and providing support for PDP exception requests
- Act as subject matter expert / technical resource for management and staff within Investment Management, Wealth Operations, Customer Experience and Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Policyowner Tax, Information Systems, etc. on product definitions, intentions, and guidelines
- Own Management Expense Ratio (MER), Trading Expense Ratio (TER) and Fund Expense Ratio (FER) reporting for our segregated funds.
- Support regulatory changes such as the implementation of Total Cost Reporting requirements for segregated funds, the new segregated fund guidance and other projects that arise
- Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to direct reports
What you will bring
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills
- Strong technical skills, which include advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Attained or close to attaining ASA / ACIA designations would be an asset but not a requirement
- Previous experience with wealth products would be an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide leadership to others
- Ability to make sound business decisions using judgement
- Able to foster collaborative relationships across the business and facilitate cooperation
- Effective written & oral communication
- Organized
- Adaptable to change

The base salary for this position is between $63,500 - $117,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
