We are looking for a data-savvy and detail-oriented Executive Compensation Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will support the design, analysis, and administration of executive compensation programs, with a strong focus on data integrity, analytics, and compliance. The Executive Compensation Consultant also plays a central role leading the management of the company’s equity-based long-term incentive programs and providing related subject matter expertise. What you will do 

  • Manage the company’s equity-based incentive programs and related processes; responsible for overall program administration (e.g., facilitating award grants and payouts, communications, analysis and reporting), supporting periodic design review, fostering plan awareness and understanding across the organization, and providing expert advice.
  • Contribute to the annual base salary and incentive compensation review cycles for executives; applying disciplined project management, program administration, identifying efficiencies and process improvement opportunities, contributing to system testing and validation, and devising solutions to meet all deadlines and deliverables.
  • Develop compensation recommendations for individual executive arrangements as part of regular or off-cycle reviews, promotions, new hires, terminations and special assignments.
  • Compile, organize and analyze market benchmarking data, and present clear, actionable insights to HR and business stakeholders.
  • Support strategic initiatives aimed at developing or enhancing executive total rewards program designs and practices through research, modelling and analysis.
  • Conduct executive job evaluations in keeping with the company’s job architecture framework.
  • Contribute to the preparation and validation of data and exhibits for senior management and Board of Directors meetings, external disclosures, and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor competitive market trends and maintain a thorough understanding of contemporary executive compensation issues, practices, and regulations.

What you will bring 

  • Post-secondary degree, preferably in Business / Commerce, Accounting, Economics or Human Resources.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Compensation, Human Resources, or in an analytical role. Direct experience in a compensation role or with equity program administration is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills – demonstrated ability to understand, organize, and make sense of data and develop reports; is inquisitive and aims to understand the “story beyond the numbers.”
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required, including working knowledge of formulas, vlookups, pivot tables and other functions; enjoys working with spreadsheets. Strong skills in numeracy, mathematics an asset. Proficient in Power Point and Word.
  • Detail orientated with a focus on accuracy, and ability to manage sensitive data with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, including under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and priorities.
  • The successful candidate will be required to communicate in French and English in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec

 

 

 

The base salary for this position is between  $64,500 - $107,500 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
