We are looking for an Engineering Specialist.

 

What you will do 

  • Work with the team to identify and drive efficiencies through the development and implementation of automation and process improvements for both infrastructure and application use cases.
  • Work with business project teams to implement application and web platform solutions and act as a SME for related technical infrastructure projects, ensuring business service level expectations and technology and security standards are met
  • Provide operational support for automation orchestration platforms
  • Complete complex troubleshooting exercises of integrations between automation and Infrastructure or applications
  • Provide consultation and support for 2nd level support teams, including participation in incident and problem resolution

 

What you will bring 

  • Degree or diploma in a related discipline (computer science) or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within an IT environment
  • Significant experience with scripting for the automation of operational processes (Unix shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, YAML)
  • Experience with Ansible Tower/AWX and source-code management (Git, GitLab)
  • Experience with the following products a definite asset:
    • CI/CD, Code Pipeline Development (GitLab CICD), Terraform
  • General operational knowledge of both Unix and Windows server operating systems
  • Knowledge of Splunk for data analysis, dashboard setup, and report creation
  • Knowledge of security management principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada  website

The base salary for this position is between  $51,400.00 - $90,400.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
