Reporting to the AVP, Insurance Experience, the Director, Strategy & Growth is accountable for translating the Insurance Experience vision and strategic direction into actionable plans, prioritized initiatives and measurable outcomes. This role serves as a strategic partner to the AVP, leading strategic planning, growth opportunity assessment, portfolio budgeting and governance, and experience performance across Insurance Solutions.

 

What You Will Do

 

  • Partner with the AVP, Insurance Experience to translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, initiatives and business outcomes that drive a best-in-class advisor and customer experience
  • Lead strategic analyses of growth opportunities, including direct-to-customer, emerging market opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive developments, customer expectations and market dynamics to identify opportunities for innovation and growth
  • Lead the annual planning and prioritization process, partnering with tech and delivery teams to assess costs and feasibility, and recommending investment, sequencing and backlog decisions
  • Manage the Insurance Solutions initiative budget, ensuring the effective allocation of resources and investments
  • Develop compelling executive-level presentations, strategic recommendations and business cases to support decision-making
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with Insurance Solutions, Technology and Operations to drive alignment through planning and execution of initiatives
  • Champion advisor and customer-centric thinking across all strategic initiatives and business decision

 

What You Will Bring

 

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, business management, customer experience, insurance, financial services or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic plans and translating strategy into execution through roadmaps, initiatives, and measurable business outcomes
  • Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex business challenges
  • Experience evaluating growth opportunities, developing business cases, conducting market assessments and supporting investment decisions
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, developing business cases, forecasting and investment prioritization
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated track record of building, coaching and developing high-performing teams
  • Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto, London and Winnipeg

The base salary for this position is between $114,200 - $164,200 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
