Director, Distribution Strategy & Initiatives

The Director, Distribution Strategy & Initiatives, Sales Effectiveness and Performance within Advisory Network will support the development and ongoing review of our advice platform KPIs and associated compensation and incentive programs. This role requires a deep understanding of business value drivers, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to summarize complex results into executive level presentations.  Reporting to the AVP, Distribution Performance. 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Lead, organize, and support the delivery of committee meetings, business reviews, and strategic discussions with senior leaders across Canada Life’s businesses

    • Work with legal, risk and market conduct to ensure incentive designs are aligned with CFR and other regulatory obligations

    • Construct summary materials for and present to executive level audiences

  • Support the development and ongoing review of our advice platform KPIs and associated compensation and incentive programs

    • Primary interactions are with VP / SVP / EVP levels to help inform strategy and incentive programs which have multimillion dollar impacts. 

    • Define, implement and monitor metrics and KPIs for critical distribution initiatives. Ensure ongoing strategic alignment with short and long-term enterprise-wide objectives 

  • Contribute and lead a wide-ranging scope of key distribution initiatives bringing a focus to defining priorities, creating business value and delivering exceptional outcomes for advisors

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Business coupled with an MBA, or equivalent preferred; other comparable professional designations considered

  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and relationship building skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate stakeholders to meet deadlines

  • Polished communication skills (written and verbal) to audiences including senior leadership

  • A curiosity to challenge the status quo and initiative to deliver consistent improvement

  • Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical and critical thinking

 

 

The base salary for this position is between $97,200- $170,500 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
