Business Operations Specialist - 12 Month Term

Reporting to Manager, Strategic Initiatives, this temporary full-time 12-month contract position is suited for an individual who has strong analytical skill, is good at trouble shooting, highly motivated to come up with recommendations or solutions for complex business case.
A Business Operation Specialist will be accountable for reviewing and investigating legacy advisor contract status, identifying impacts, tracking investigation progress, and clearing balance or correcting data on various systems.
What you will do:
- Perform analysis for various types of advisor contract status and recommend solutions.
- Closely track case investigation progress to meet project milestone dates and deadlines.
- Communicate with internal business partners and external clients for contract status change and licensing clarification.
- Determine impacts of recommended solutions to advisors, systems, and processes.
- Build business requirements for projects UAT testing and perform testing to achieve accurate results. (Weekend testing may be required)
- Troubleshoot issues in operations to develop opportunity of process change including risk identification.
- Provide support and guidance to advisors and business partners when required.
- Analyze unique and complex issues, business cases or system problems as they arise.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required.
What you will bring:
- Strong business knowledge of advisor contracts and compensation, including Greatwest Life legacy system.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
- Attentive to detail, demonstrated initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Focus on quality and timeliness to meet deadlines.
- Strong organization skills of multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignment. Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
- Excellent documentation track and filing skill to record project test results.
- Quick learning, thinking and be creative.
- Positive attitude in the face of change.
- Focus on reasons why changes will work and how they will be beneficial.
This team works in a hybrid model, with three days per week in the office in Winnipeg or London, Ontario.

The base salary for this position is between $51,400-$77,100 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
