As a Graphic Designer at Financial Horizons, you oversee the strategic planning and creation of a large variety of digital and print content across the company. Your success in this role is driven by your passion for creative projects as well as your ability to stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technology. You have an excellent work ethic, keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality and an imaginative mind.

What you will do
- Strategically plan and execute digital and print designs from project launch to completion, working with stakeholders across the business.
- Ensure all designs follow established brand standards.
- Provide design support for a range of marketing communications including: social media, digital advertising, websites, video storyboards, e-newsletters, brochures, ads, magazines, posters, banners, signage, presentation material, trade show graphics, videos, and branding.
- Assist in the design and production of professional presentations using PowerPoint.
- Proofreading and quality assurance.
- Meet and communicate with other departments to understand their design needs.
- Remain aware of design and financial industry trends to ensure creative solutions are relevant and reflective of the Financial Horizons brand.
- Collaborate with colleagues on the Marketing & Communication team, as well as partners throughout the company.
- Collaborate with print and promotional vendors when necessary to see projects through to completion.
- Play an active role in developing our in-house capabilities. For example: proactive creation of design system assets and updating of templates.
- Other design related tasks and projects, as assigned.
What you will bring
- 2-3 years professional experience as a graphic designer.
- Post-secondary education in graphic design.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong design principles, adherence to brand standards, while displaying strategic and creative execution on project work.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop at minimum – XD/Figma, Premiere Pro and After Effects a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge in print production – must be able to build print-ready files.
- Knowledge in digital best practices including accessibility standards.
- Knowledge in setting up and maintaining design files for team collaboration.
- Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is an asset.

The base salary for this position is between $47,400 - $ 71,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
