As a Field Compensation Associate, you will work closely with your teammates on the Compensation Services team (a quick note - this is an insurance and finance related team, not HR) to help ensure that the national team meets performance expectations and team objectives. 

 

This role reports to the Manager, Compensation Services. Our company is DRIVEn (this is not a typo – it's part of our values :) ) by the amazing support we provide our industry leading advisors, often times treating them as we would our closest of friends!

 

What you will do

  • Identify, research, analyze and correct commission related inquiries for escalations in a timely manner
  • Handle the large case process for all regions
  • Assist with advisor/corporate override changes in the back-office system (WealthServ)
  • Generate statements/reports from carriers’ websites, analyze and validate the data on the back-office system (WealthServ) and update it to post commissions
  • Enter MGA commissions in required databases ensuring data privacy and compliance
  • Update the advisor/corporation debt in the WealthServ debt module as well as sending debt notices to advisors/corporations/Sales leaders/Senior Management ensuring data privacy and compliance
  • Participate in the pay process (push, validation, pay, …)
  • Assist with the analysis of Finance variances
  • Provide vacation coverage and backup assistance for commission close
  • Adapt to workloads, multiple carriers and process changes
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, internally and externally
  • Provide compensation information and reports as required
  • Create / maintain updated compensation posting process documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with the industry changes and all carriers’ processes

 

What you will bring

  • University degree or College diploma in a relevant field
  • Fluent in English and French, an asset
  • Experience in a Compensation Insurance field
  • Excel - Intermediate Plus
  • Mathematical and reconciliation skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities (critical thinking)
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Pro-active, flexible, and have a sense of urgency
  • Organizational, prioritization and time management skills

The base salary for this position is between $48,400 - $72,600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
