This role focuses on developing strong relationships with distribution partners in your assigned region to attract new business and manage and retain an in-force (active) portfolio. What you will do

 

  • Proactively develop and maintain engaging relationships to drive excitement about the Canada Life group retirement business
  • Partner with advisors to review quote specifications for potential clients, and write and present proposals to advisors or potential clients
  • Generate new business opportunities by actively prospecting and promoting Canada Life’s group retirement offering
  • Contribute to a positive sales culture in a competitive environment that is open to collaboration through the growth of creativity and innovation
  • Attend industry events, representing and promoting the Canada Life brand within the community

 

What you will bring

 

  • 2+ years of sales experience; ideally in Group Retirement or Group Benefits
  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills as well as motivation to achieve business objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written with an enthusiasm for doing presentations
  • Deliver results and exceed expectations while working collaboratively with others
  • Have strong relationship building skills with external customers present ideas/concepts creatively and succinctly
  • Ability to creativity put forward innovative solutions
  • Adaptable to growth and change in a fast-evolving environment
  • Competitiveness and passion for sales with persistence and determination
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Undergraduate diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle, given the travel needs
  • Designation of RPA (Retirement Plans Associate), or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) is a benefit
  • Understanding of capital accumulation and defined benefit plans is preferred

The base salary for this position is between $67,000 - $111,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
