We’re looking for a Senior Implementation Specialist (Bilingual – French & English) to join our Benefits Administration Solutions team, a leading provider of outsourced plan administration services. Our team is powered by a relentless focus on serving our customers and delivering flexible benefits plans offered by Canada Life.
The opportunity:
The Senior Implementation Specialist (Bilingual) role is about building relationships and trust by demonstrating strong leadership and confidence in interactions with plan sponsors and internal customers. This role requires project management, multitasking and a drive that supports the plan sponsor vision of placing the customer at the centre of what we do. Using your years of industry experience as a subject matter expert, you will work with teams of skilled professionals to build solutions to help clients manage their benefit plans. Wearing multiple hats, you will be a coach and a mentor to other staff while running large new client implementations and supporting other units with answering questions.
What you will do:
- Lead new client implementations for Benefits Administration Solutions
- Implement HRIS & payroll files for customers
- Lead & support annual re-enrolments of existing clients
- Provide RFP support and quotations for Benefits Administrations Solutions service offerings
- Prepare & attend Finalist meetings and presentations
- Coach & mentor staff when needed
- Participate in department related projects
- Support the IS team from a business perspective with GroupNet Flex
- Manage & coordinate GroupNet flex releases
What you will bring:
- Bilingualism (fluent in French and English) required, as the position will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking need
- Proven track record of collaboration and influence working in cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of management both within the client environment and within Canada Life on the delivery of solutions to support the client needs
- Extremely detail oriented, excellent understanding of how our technology products influence the outcome of plan setup and design. Ability to anticipate any challenges ahead of time and work on appropriate solutions to meet the client needs
- Structured and analytical planning approach; create appropriate project plans to drive effective implementations
- Applies a structured approach to data analysis and reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency with our reporting and data loads
- Understanding at an expert level, data management tools like Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Understanding of group insurance and outsourcing services
- Note: Business travel may be required from time to time

Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life
Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located across Canada.

The base salary for this position is between $79,100 - $131,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
