Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the AVP National Sales, Primerica Distribution will play an integral role within our growing Independent Distribution team at Canada Life on a national level. In this fast-paced, results-driven environment, you will work directly with sales leadership and teams within this new, diverse independent distribution market as we look to establish a net new strategy focused on growth, evolution and execution. You will have a core accountability to identify strategies that will create the foundation to accelerate sales growth and deepen our strategic partnership with Primerica across the country. You will also work closely with other field leaders and wholesale counterparts to help deliver on the exciting Segregated fund growth in a unique and growing market.
What you will do
- Through a strong appetite for growth and leadership, chart the path forward for a new distribution opportunity from the ground up
- Working with sales leaders and advisors Primerica, be the face of the Canada Life brand across Canada
- Establish and execute a tailored business and relationship management plan
- Accountable for achieving sales objectives and financial targets
- Ensure overall national strategy and objectives are executed consistently across the country
- Develop and strengthen Canada Life’s brand affinity with Primerica’s growing advisor base
- Contribute to the Independent Distribution strategy
- Work closely with other Independent Distribution field leaders to collaborate and understand top priorities for their regions and deliver on objectives and strategies
- Through tight collaboration, ensure appropriate deployment of wholesale resources and support with a focus on growth and breadth
- Lead and influence comprehensive development of education-focused tactics that meet specific needs of a broad spectrum of advisors in the wealth space
- Work closely to inform and influence execution with various teams including marketing, product, operations and compliance strategies
What you will bring
- 10+ years of financial services experience with a strong track record of growing wealth sales in diverse markets
- University degree (business-focus)
- Industry certifications and designations (e.g. CFP) considered an asset
- Creative and innovator thinker, focused on driving the business forward
- Strong field credibility and interpersonal skills to lead through influence, and inspire diverse audiences to accelerate growth
- Appetite and aptitude for continuous learning and development of your leadership skills
- Takes responsibility, accepts challenges and is motivated by results
- Strong public speaking ability and strong ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to impact, influence, and negotiate to achieve desired results.
- Well organized, capable of managing many priorities at once, and capable of responding to different situations that arise day-to-day with the end goal focused on client and advisor growth
- Bilingualism (English & French) considered an asset

The base salary for this position is between $108,300- $200,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
