In this role, you'll focus on increasing case counts, uncovering new opportunities, and providing proactive support to financial advisors. You will partner closely with the Regional Sales Manager (outside sales) and Regional Sales Associate (sales support) to strengthen advisor relationships and drive life, disability, and critical illness insurance sales. By delivering tailored solutions and strategies, you'll play a key part in expanding advisor business and achieving regional growth.

 

 

What you will do 

 

 

  • Drive insurance sales growth by collaborating with Regional Sales Managers to meet and exceed targets.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities through proactive prospecting and leveraging existing advisor relationships.
  • Build strong advisor partnerships via phone, virtual meetings, and occasional in-person interactions to increase case counts and expand their business.
  • Leverage Salesforce to manage your pipeline, track activity, and ensure accurate reporting
  • Deepen advisor engagement by understanding their goals, priorities, and book of business to uncover cross-selling opportunities.
  • Educate and influence advisors on the benefits of life, disability, and critical illness insurance solutions.
  • Act as a trusted product and sales expert, providing insights, strategies, and marketing support before and after the sale.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to advisor firms on Canada Life's insurance offerings.
  • Innovate and adapt, contributing fresh ideas to improve processes and enhance advisor and client experiences.

 

What you will bring

 

  • Industry Experience: 2+ years of experience in financial services - ideally insurance related.
  • LLQP designation completed or in progress
  • Sales Mindset: Results-driven, motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Team Player: Thrives in collaborative environments and brings energy and enthusiasm to every interaction.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to present, train, and convey ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Phone Presence: Professional telephone etiquette and comfort managing high call volumes.
  • Resilience: Strong negotiation skills and perseverance when faced with challenges.
  • Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of insurance products, sales concepts, and industry trends.
  • Adaptability: Quick learner with high energy and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Innovation: Ability to develop marketing ideas and strategies that drive advisor success.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, psychology, or a related field.

The base salary for this position is between  $59,800- $99,700 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
