Independent Distribution, Reporting Analyst

The Experience Reporting Analyst is a new role on the Independent Distribution team that will collaborate with a variety of key leaders across Independent Distribution and the broader Canada Life organization. There will be a strong emphasis to collaborate with Data & Analytics teams and other business partners with key accountabilities to, analyze data, identify trends, provide inputs for dashboards and help the Independent Distribution leadership make data-driven decisions. This role will require strong data fluency and analytical skills combined with a strong business acumen while leveraging reporting tools like Power BI, excel, Tableau and Macros. 

 

This role will also contribute to project work at various stages of the planning and execution cycles within the Independent Distribution channel and consult the Director and AVP on initiatives and strategic planning.

 

What you will do:

  • Produce and analyze operational and strategic reports and provide insights to leadership
  • Work as the conduit between the field, ID Strategy & Ops and internal data & analytics hubs to help translate insights into strategy
  • Provide ad hoc reports and insights
  • Work within the Independent Distribution team to capture data on excel, tableau and PowerBI to assess regional budgets, Marketing Allowance, business plan reporting and OKRs.
  • Collaborate with other Data & Analytics teams to optimize data capture and inputs to ensure that dashboards and outputs are producing quality reporting.
  • Act as a translator between the Independent Distribution channel and various shared services to ensure insights, challenges and opportunities are appropriately captured to inform path forward.
  • Contribute to initiatives and project management support and will be key player to consult on strategic initiatives, programs, events, marketing and team optimization.
  • Provide critical inputs and business requirements which will aid in the configuration and ongoing operations of automated dashboard.
  • Conduct qualitative analysis on key initiatives, experiences and engagements that are delivered to the MGA and National Account audiences.
  • Ideate and drive the evolution of reporting and insights-based analysis that underpin the Independent Distribution team’s strategic roadmap

 

What you will bring:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a Reporting Analyst or comparable role
  • Post-secondary education in business or a similar/related field
  • Project management skills with ability to oversee and drive expected outcomes through ownership, influence and accountability
  • Ability to present ideas leveraging PowerPoint, excel, power BI 
  • Experience with data cleaning and preparation
  • Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, able to tailor communication style to the audience.

The base salary for this position is between  $50,400.00 - $83,900.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
